Are colour laser printers cost effective?

It's well known that for business printing, black and white laser printers are more cost effective than inkjet printers. Does the same apply for colour laser printers?Are colour laser printers cost effective?
That depends upon the printer.





There are some low end HP printers Such as the CLJ 1600 and 2600 which are obscenely expensive to run. You will pay about $350 for a set of cartridge and get about 1500 pages out of them.





However if you were to buy a HP Business Inkjet which takes 88Xl cartridges, you will spend $100 on a set of cartridges and get about 1000 pages out of them.





They trick is to always look at how much you are printing per month, page yeilds and consumable cost before buying a printer.





There is no rule, it is all down to being an informed consumer.
