How do multicolored laser printers work?

more specifically, how does is make the different colors. I understand the theory of thermal paper, but no with two colors. thanks. My guess is different temperatutre creates a different color. Am I right?How do multicolored laser printers work?
A laser printer lays down images as ink powder on a drum. This is then melted (they call it fused) onto ordinary paper. Multi colored laser printers use 4 separate toner cartridges - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black and mix these colors when printing to met many tones and shades. Today's color laser printers do very nice work including printing of photographs and are fast printing and economical to use, but if your real interest is in printing photos, an ink jet printer is your best bet. Among the lower priced ink jet printers I have found the HP printer series that uses the 02 series of ink cartridges


(6 separate color cartridges) to give excellent quality photo prints.
